An all-in-one is a computer built into the monitor housing. It saves desk space and looks tidy, but inside it is packed far more tightly than an ordinary tower. Reaching the drive, memory or cooling system means removing the screen, which takes experience and the right tools. We repair all-in-ones from every popular brand: Apple iMac, HP, Lenovo, Asus, Acer, Dell and MSI.
Why all-in-ones fail in their own way
A slim case leaves little room for airflow, so the cooling system runs close to its limit from day one. Dust that would take years to bother a tower quickly chokes the narrow heatsink in an all-in-one, and overheating follows. The second typical problem is a slow hard drive: many models shipped with 5400 rpm HDDs, and after a couple of years they take five minutes to boot. The third is the built-in power supply, which heats up along with the panel and eventually fails.
Trying to open an all-in-one without experience often ends with cracked glass, a torn backlight cable or a broken clip. That's why we recommend leaving it to a technician — a new panel can cost almost as much as the whole machine.
Faults we fix
- the computer won't power on or shuts down straight away;
- sound but no picture, or a flickering or striped screen;
- loud fan noise and a hot top edge;
- very slow boot and performance — HDD-to-SSD upgrade;
- Windows or macOS won't load, disk errors;
- USB, Wi-Fi, webcam or audio not working;
- not enough memory — RAM upgrades.
How an all-in-one repair works
- Diagnostics. We check power, boot, temperatures and drive health. Often the cause is clear before we open anything.
- Agreement. We explain what's wrong, offer options and give an exact price. Nothing is replaced without your approval.
- Careful disassembly. We lift the panel with suction cups and plastic tools. For iMacs we use fresh adhesive strips when reassembling.
- Repair. Replacing the drive, memory or power supply, cleaning the cooling system and renewing thermal paste, and moving your data and system to a new SSD.
- Testing. We check the display, temperatures under load and overall stability.
Simple jobs such as system installation, malware removal and data transfer are done on site. Hardware repairs that need disassembly usually take 1–2 days in our workshop, and we handle pick-up and delivery.
Repair or replace?
All-in-ones that are five to seven years old often still have a decent processor and an excellent screen, and are slow only because of an old drive and too little memory. An upgrade costing 150–250 ₾ gives them several more years of normal use — far cheaper than a new machine. If a repair isn't worth it, we'll tell you honestly and help move your data to a new computer.
