A laptop packs everything in very tightly: the motherboard, battery, cooling system, drive, screen and keyboard all depend on one another. A single symptom — "won't turn on", for example — can mean a dead battery, a broken charging port, a faulty power controller on the board or a failed charger. Without accurate diagnostics it's easy to spend money replacing a part that was working fine.
Why professional diagnostics matter
Many repair shops quote a price by eye, and then it doubles or triples during the repair. We work differently: we check the laptop thoroughly first, then give you the final cost and timeline. You know in advance what the repair will cost and can decide whether it's worth doing. If it isn't economical — say, a new motherboard costs nearly as much as the laptop — we'll tell you honestly.
